Teachers’ Service Commission Decries Use of Fake Certificates

| June 21, 2012 More

Bauchi State Teachers’ Service Commission has decried the attitude of some individuals, who allegedly use fake certificates to secure appointments with the commission.

The chairman of the commission, Yahaya Baba, expressed the view in Bauchi on Tuesday while addressing newsmen on the activities of the commission within the last one year.

Baba said in an instance only six out of 56 people, who applied for jobs with the commission, were found to have genuine credentials.

He said the commission had adopted a policy of verifying certificates of applicants from the schools the claimed to have attended to stem the trend.

“It is very unfortunate that this thing is happening in Bauchi where some people used fake certificates simply to get employment in the teaching profession and most of them cannot defend their certificates,” Baba said. NAN
