A group under the aegis of Joint Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro and Dass Youth Coalition, has described the purported recall of the member representing the area at the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara by a faceless group as unfortunate. The group has said that the action of the group could be termed a failed attempt that would subsequently generate into lawlessness in the area.

The group disclosed this in a statement made available to Dailypost on Tuesday, signed by its Chairman, Comrade Kura Kefas Sang.

According to the group, “As a body of responsible youth across Tafawa Balewa, Dass and Bogoro federal constituency, we are deeply saddened at the trend whereby political opponents and other faceless blackmailers seek to make political capital out of every conceivable issue. In the same vein, we find this effort to scandalize.

Adding that, “Though the federal government recently declared a state of emergency in some states, no headquarters of any local government area was relocated, that is why the case of Tafawa Balewa local government is quite surprising.

He further lamented that, “Though the peace loving people of Tafawa Balewa in Lere District through their representatives have commenced a suit at the Federal High court sitting in Bauchi, challenging the action of the state government, the speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and the Governor went ahead to lay the foundation for the building of the local government secretariat at Bununu.

Investigations has revealed that a group had earlier stormed the Bauchi State House of Assembly, demanding the recall of the member of the House of Representatives, following their displeasure over the relocation of the headquarters of Tafawa Balewa local government area from the main town to Bununu.

The group expressed its gratitude to the lawmaker for his selfless service to the constituency and wished him the best in his entire tenure.
