Suspended Bauchi Female Lawmaker Distributes PDP Flags in Bogoro

Bauchi โ€” The suspended member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Mrs. Rifkatu Samson Danna has distributed over 200 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flags and donated over 100 bags of rice and cash to the supporters of the party and people of Bogoro constituency.

She said despite being on suspension for close to 21 months now, the grace of God has been sustaining her and that out of the abundant God’s blessings showered on her, she felt it was wise to put smile on the face of her constituents in this festive period as she did during the Sallah celebration.

She commended President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Isa Yuguda and the FCT Minister for their support, saying in spite of her political travails, she would continue to work for the party. “the PDP has been my party and I will not leave it for any other,” she vowed.

Receiving the items on behalf of the party, the LGA Secretary of the party Daniel Musa applauded the kind gesture of the lawmaker, saying they are very proud of her and wish her well in all her undertakings.

It would be recalled that Danna has been suspended from the House for about 21 months now. She was reinstated by the court after challenging her suspension before the state assembly-led by Speaker Alhaji Yahaya Miya appealed the judgment. The matter is still pending at the Appeal Court in Jos, Plateau State.
