| December 1, 2012 More

Bauchi โ€” The Nigeria Interfaith Action Association (NIFAA) sponsored by the World Bank, yesterday mobilized Christian and Muslim leaders in Bauchi State to help in the fight against Malaria in Bauchi State.

Speaking during an advocacy and community mobilisation workshop in Bauchi, the state’s Programme Officer of NIAA, Dr Yakubu, said the aim is to acquaint faith leaders and other partners in the state with NIFAA malaria projects. He said the group will work closely with faith based organisations through their leaders to tackle malaria.

“We feel that the best way to fight this monster is by bringing together faith leaders because people believe in them, their words are powerful. We are mobilising them to help us identify other faith leaders to help us fight malaria,” he said.
