Ex-Gov Muazu Drags Yuguda To

Former Bauchi State Governor Ahmed Adamu Muazu has filed a suit before the Bauchi State High Court number one against the incumbent governor, Isa Yuguda over his indictment by the judicial commission of inquiry set up by Yuguda and the white paper report of the state government that accepted the recommendations of the commission.

Yuguda in the white paper accepted the recommendations that ordered the former Governor Mu’azu to refund over N2bn to the treasury of Bauchi State Government and banned the former Governor from holding any public office for 10 years.

Also joined in the suit filed by Mu’azu are Bauchi State Government, Attorney General and commissioner of Justice, Judicial commission of Inquiry, and Justice Bitrus Sanga who presided over the Judicial commission of Inquiry.

Mu’azu who was represented by Barrister Mustapha Ahmed and Barrister Nasiru Balan Malam in his suit asked the court to set aside the said indictments in the white paper and also sought for an order to set aside all the steps legal and other wise taken by the government of Bauchi state against the former Governor.

The Presiding Judge Justice Ibrahim Mohammed Zango adjourned the suit to 28th April for ruling on the application whether the NGO and Muhammad Gambo will be joined as the 6th and 7th defendants.
