Ex. Bauchi Gov. Wants EFCC, SSS to Check Blackmailers

The former governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Adamu Muazu, saturday called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the State Security Service (SSS) to move to check the dangerous excesses of blackmailers and hackers in the country. Governor Muazu who spoke through his assistant, Kabiru Garba Ilelah, in Abuja said this has become necessary following the continued negative publications of some hired persons against him and urged the commission to check it in the interest peace in the polity.

Muazu’s aide condemned the activities of one Abubakar Dogonyaro Bibi and Yakubu Alhaji Jibri whom he said have continuously published some advertorials in the newspapers targeted at tarnishing the image and reputation of his principal.

“The two men operating under a faceless organisation called the National Congress of Democrats claimed I have disregarded EFCC invitation to Muazu  when in reality no such invitation was extended to the former governor

“I wish to call on the EFCC and the security services to investigate the information contained above on the background and past nefarious activities of Abubakar  Dogonyaro Bibi and Yakubu Alhaji Jibin with the aim of bringing to an end their blackmailing activities in the name of anti-corruption crusade,” he said.

According to him, the  two men should be invited to buttress their allegations with facts in the interest of justice equity and fair play just as he wants the EFCC to look into also their sources of income that positioned them for the advertorial in the newspaper continuously.
