It has been barely a week since Boko Haram kidnapped scores of teenage school girls from their school’s hostel in the Chibok area of Borno State. And now, suspected Boko Haram islamists have set ablaze a staff building at an all girls’ secondary school in Bauchi State.
The incident occurred around 2:30am on Sunday but thankfully, none of the 195 students sleeping in their dormitories nearby were harmed.
In addition to razing the staff residence at the school, the terrorists also burnt down a Sharia (Islamic law) court, an eight-block police quarters, and the local government secretariat.
Ever since the Boko Haram insurgency commenced, Bauchi State has been attacked numerous times.
