Bauchi Youths Canvass Peaceful Election in 2015

Bauchi โ€” Bauchi state youth leaders’ forum yesterday held a peace parley with a call on the Federal Government to end the insecurity bedeviling many states in the country before the year 2013 in order to have a smooth and peaceful election in 2015.

A statement signed by the president and secretary of the forum, Sadiq Shehu Ilelah and Mustapha Usman Mashema which was distributed to newsmen yesterday in Bauchi, reminded the governors whose states are faced with security challenges that they will be held responsible for all the loss of lives and properties that affected their states.

The statement said the aim of the meeting was to react to some developments surrounding the socio political situation in the country in order to proffer solutions to it and pave the way for good governance and to ensure adequate protection of lives and properties of people in the country.

The forum lamented the way politicians abuse youths during elections and abandon them after the elections and advised the Federal Government to compel the state and private companies to employ the youths in different sectors of the economy.
