Bauchi โ€” The newly sworn-in Bauchi State High Court Judges and Khadis of Sharia Court of Appeal need a befitting accommodation.

Bauchi State Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission(JSC), Barrister LawalHusseini, who stated this while answering questions from Daily Trust yesterday in Bauchi, said “we have enough courts where each of the justices and Khadis will work but we don’t have enough houses for the six High Court Judges and Khadis”

Barrister Husseini said the state government had allocated six houses and cars to the JSC but only three of the houses were available the remaining three were occupied by two commissioners one serving and one former, while the other one is dilapidated.

He said the JSC and government are working together to secure the remaining three houses in order to help the new judges to settle down to work.

Daily Trust correspondent gathered that part of the conditions which state Government must meet before the National Judicial Council approved the appointment of High Court Judge and Khadis is that the state Government most provide a car and a befitting house for a judge.

The newly sworned in Judges and Khadis are Justice Aliyu Baba Usman, Justice Mahmood Gurama, Justice Yelen Bogoro, Justice AH Suleiman, Khadi Sadiq Wada Yusuf and Khadi A.A Hamid.
