Bauchi โ€” Bauchi State Ministry of Health has organized a befitting reception to honour 30 indigenes who graduated from various institutions of education to join state civil service.

Speaking at the occasion, State Commissioner for Health Dr Sani Abubakar Malami said 826 young men and women are at present on the payroll of state government while undergoing training in medical fields in various institutions of learning both within and outside the country.

Dr Malami expressed optimism that the young men and women would, after graduation, return home to uplift their state health system.

He told the medical doctors that he ensured that their appointment into health services of state government was automatic, adding the Ministry of Health would soon come out with a comprehensive staff development programme.

Dr Malami, who warned the newly graduated doctors against indiscipline, noted that indiscipline had permeated almost all strata of the Nigerian society.

He stressed the need for the present generation of doctors to begin to think on how they can work together to move Bauchi State forward.
