Bauchi — The Bauchi State Government has made adequate arrangement to improve its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through Tourism.

The State Commissioner of Information Alhaji Salihu Ibrahim Halilu stated this yesterday while answering questions from reporters in Bauchi as part of the democracy day celebration in the state.

Halilu said this year, 2014 intending pilgrims to Saudia would be airlifted from the airport.

The Commissioner said Government has completed arrangement to get an independent power source that will help to develop industries to boost IGR and reduce poverty and unemployment.

He said in the last Seven Years the State Government has done a lot to revitalize the State ailing industries like the Bauchi Meat Factory, Fertilizer Blending Plant, Arewa Ceramics, Misau and to establish other industries like Bauchi Furniture among others.
