Akpabio, Yuguda introduces Jang to Sambo, Tukur as NGF chairman

Governors Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State and Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State have introduced the Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang to Vice President Namadi Sambo as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.

The duo conducted the introduction at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday afternoon.

Akpabio and Yuguda also led Jang to the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party for introduction to the National chairman of the party, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.

Akpabio, said he was carrying out his duties as chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

DailyPost gathered that in his address, the Akwa Ibom governor maintained that 19 PDP governors attested to the selection of Jang for the post and that the decision stands whether anyone likes it or not.

It is expected that he will also present Jang to President Goodluck Jonathan upon the latter’s return from the African Union meeting.
