From PAUL ORUDE, Bauchi

Ahead of the 2015 presidential polls, presidential campaign posters of the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at the weekend flooded strategic locations in Bauchi metropolis, fuelling speculations that the governor may join the contest for the highest office.

Kwankwaso’s posters with the inscriptions, Kwankwaso For President 2015 to Move Nigeria Forward, were pasted in the popular Wunti Roundabout, Auwala Hotel Roundabout and other places in the Bauchi State capital The posters were credited to a group called the National Youth Awareness for Kwankwaso 2015. As at the time of filing this report, the leader of the group could not be reached by Daily Sun for the group’s reaction.

Although, the Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido had been linked with plans to contest for president in 2015, his counterpart from Kano had not indicated any interest and the posters may be the handiwork of mischief-makers.
